Daniel Negreanu

Daniel "Kid Poker" Negreanu was born on July 26th, 1974 in Toronto, Canada.

He now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada and is often seen playing high stakes cash games as well as being a regular in the tournament circuit in the WPT and the main events of the WSOP.

In 1995, aged 21, he left his hometown in Canada to chase his poker dream in Las Vegas, unfortunately it didn't go too well to begin with an he returned back to Toronto to rebuild his bankroll.
In 1997 he won two events in the World Poker Finals at Foxwoods, total winnings came to $133,000 and this was to be the turning point in his professional poker career.

The tournament wins continued with success in the 1998 WSOP by becoming the youngest bracelet winner. Nowadays he represents the Full Tilt Poker room and runs his popular website Full Contact Poker. He has written over 100 poker articles for publications including Card Player Magazine, books including Super System II, Power Holdem Strategy and has also been known to offer private coaching.

Daniel Negreanu continues to improve his tournament record and is a feared opponent in the live poker scene, rated by his fellow professionals as one of th nicest and smartest poker players around.
