Other contenders in this 2008 tournament included Chris Ferguson, David Williams and Johnny Chan, Mr. Negreanu came in 7th place, just one place ahead of Phil Hellmuth, and pocketed $123,437 winnings.
The $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha event had a total of 152 entries and 483 rebuys which brought the prize pool to $3,085,930. First place took home $817,781 plus a WSOP bracelet, this eventually went to Philip Galfond.
